Solving an equation.

Postby Cohiba » Wed Sep 07, 2005 7:35 pm

How do you solve:

(x^2+x)^2 -14(x^2 + 2x) + 24 = 0

I know how to do it if it were x^2 but when you simplify it becomes:

x^4 + 4x^3 - 13x^2 - 28x + 24 = 0

and then I am lost because of the x^4 and x^3...

Look into synthetic division as well.
Need information on a function I've posted? Chances are it's at the MSDN.
