Motif is a hassle to learn

Postby OgreCoder » Fri Oct 01, 2004 1:56 pm

Ok I'm sitting here trying to learn Motif and realizing that the books I am using were written in 1989. This makes it a huge hassle since half the stuff seems to be wrong. I was just wondering, has anybody else found this as a difficult task?

Motif seems relatively easy, I think it's just the resources I have SUCK.

Oh yeah, and I was finally able to register here. I am sure some of you have seem posts from me before, but my work machine has always prevented me from registering (don't ask me why, this freaking gov't system).

I don't know much about Motif, but it sounds old. Why do you want to learn that instead of Qt or Gtk+?
