Xerces and FC3

Postby Corsix » Thu Jun 16, 2005 3:18 pm

I am having realy problems trying to compile Apache Xerces from source on fedora core 3. I am a real linux n00b here btw.
Things like runConfigure, configure and make just don't work.
Code: Select all
#include <stdio.h>
char*_="XxTIHRCXCxTIHRXRCxTIHXHRCxTIXIHRCxTXTIHRCxXxTIHRCX";
int main(int l){for(l+=7;l!=putchar(010);++l);if(*(++_))main
(*_!=88?(putchar(*_^073)|putchar(33))&1:0xffff2a8b);}

Read the INSTALL file and follow it step by step.
Also make sure u have all the dependencies installed.
Better yet dont compile programs for yourself but just download precompiled binaries.

If you want more help on this forum you will have to give more details on what is your problem.

Do you have Synaptic installed, and if so, is there an existing rpm for this program on it? That's how I install pretty much all of my Fedora packages, it makes things a lot simpler.

Ahh, it seemed the problem was that I had downloaded the .zip and extracted cross network onto my linux box, whereas I should have just downloaded the .tar.gz file and extracted it on linux.
(Although I still can't compile cleanly...)
Code: Select all
#include <stdio.h>
char*_="XxTIHRCXCxTIHRXRCxTIHXHRCxTIXIHRCxTXTIHRCxXxTIHRCX";
int main(int l){for(l+=7;l!=putchar(010);++l);if(*(++_))main
(*_!=88?(putchar(*_^073)|putchar(33))&1:0xffff2a8b);}
