Latex has to be supported on the mashine (but also dvips).

[tex] (basically) works like this:

Okay, what has happened with the syntax-tags?
[syntax="cpp"]
int main () {
std :: cout << "Test";
return 0;
}[/syntax]

I think many of us are wondering the same thing. I know I am...
If it wasn't for C, we would be using BASI, PASAL and OBOL.

not sure. unfortunately I can't fix it right now. my computer died. I'm using my PSP to surf and it's greatly lacking in power. As soon as I do some repairs I'll look into it. Tomorow if I can.

You wrote that on a PSP? :shock:
It must have taken forever, the onscreen keyboard sucks balls.

You know you're an addict when... :wink:
Need information on a function I've posted? Chances are it's at the MSDN.

Ok, problem solved. Syntax is fully functional again. Just a glitch with the css.
Incidentally, I did discover a feature. Putting a line between >>> LINE <<< should do somehting interesting. Let's see.
[syntax="cpp"]cout << "Yabba dabba";
>>>cout << "DOO" << endl;<<<[/syntax]

On another note, I think I fixed the header. I've tested it a few times and haven't gotten the errors, but please let me know if you encounter them again.

And still no word from loobian on the TeX tags? Perhaps we should post a question on csharp-home.com... :roll:

What we need installed:

Latex + dvips/dvipdf + convert. Convert should be installed, so the host only needs to install latex and dvips/dvipdf.

latex --interaction=nonstopmode my.tex
dvips -E my.dvi -o my.ps
convert -density 120 my.ps my.png
//then comes some code that deletes temporarily files.
But there's also an alternative way:

1. Create an account on a forum that has latex support.
2. Create a c++-script. When someone wants to post latex-code in this forum that c++-script will log in to the other forum, entering "new topic", pasting in the latex code and "pressing" the preview-button. This will generate a picture (with the latex code). The just copy the image location and paste it in the textfield here at cpp-home. You will not even have to save the images here at cpp-home! :roll:

Has Wizard been playing with the css-code again?

Just joking. Is it the CSS again? The syntax-tags works perfect when I'm in "posting.php". So, I don't see how this can have anything to do with css and I don't think they use different css-files.

Not I, but yes, it was the CSS. I noticed it this morning but was running late for work. Sorry.
I fixed it now. And I'll keep on fixing it, everytime it needs to be.

As per Ritz' suggestion, I turned on visual confirmation. All this time I was insisting that it wasn't there, and I couldn't find the mod to turn it on (although I did find a "click the kittens" mod that was really cute... I mean clever ;) ) but, stupid me, it was the cpp-home template that was missing it. I switched to subsilver and there it was.
So hopefully that'll take care of the bots that my own hacks have missed.
As for tex... if anyone wants to rewrite a 12'000 line C program in PHP they're more than welcome to. Way more work than I care to admit. I'm back to trying to get ahold of Loobian. Anyone heard from him in the last few months?
