About this forum!

Postby loobian » Mon Sep 22, 2003 2:13 pm

Hi all!

First of all, I'd like to thank you for comming here and reding this!

Now, what I wanted to say is that I still have some work on the forum. I will replace phpBB's logo with C++ Home's new logo. Some other little things will be made, but this will come these days.

For now- enjoy the new forum, and share you thoughts!

Thank you! :P

Hm, first non-moderator vote and post on the new forums...

I'll say maybe yes, as it hasn't been tested, but is probably better than the previous one.

Stick with it White Panther - give it a chance to work.....

These are very early days and Loobian has a lot of tweaking to do....

I would say it is a definite improvement from the other one ;)

I'm fairly familiar with phpBB. I've never encountered a problem with it, but I've never had to admin one before.

I stand corrected. You can still post without logging in. A potential risk, or is that intended?

Thumbs up from me!
Need information on a function I've posted? Chances are it's at the MSDN.

the forum looks great !

However I voted with "maybe yes" since I have not tested it yet.
I like that people can ask questions without being members. This way more people can participate. And we can always change that if NumbChucks shows up again :-).
These days I will try to finish up the new design so you guys can see it and say how you like it.

True, but there is a big difference this time - more, shall we say, capability to act if there is a problem..... :D

You need to first join, and then log in. Otherwise you'll be labeled as a guest. I made the mistake thinking it automatically logged you in after you joined. Silly me.

A while ago when you were discussing creating a new forum I believe you said the archive of posts would transfer, although doing a search on this forum it doesn't seem as if anything from the past is coming up. Also, the sidebar of the homepage still takes you to the old forums. I think there needs to be only one forum or people are going to get confused. This is certainly a great improvement though.
