Postby banu » Tue Apr 26, 2011 6:26 am

Hi,
We are accessing our remote webserver using libcurl. We are using GET method to post the request. The request is a simplified URL.We will receive XML Response for the URL request.
Problem
For Few Scenarios, response for the URL request is received & our component is killed abruptly. Can anyone pls help me what would be the reason for this issue at the earliest.
I have attached the core dump below which will help to track the issue clearly.

At a glance, it looks like malloc, being called deep within the XML (HTML?) library you're using, is failing. Only thing that I can think of that causes malloc to crash is a corrupted heap, which means the actual problem is somewhere else, this is just where it happened to crash.
You're probably calling free on an unallocated piece of memory somewhere, or calling free twice on something. Without your source code (which I suspect you may not be allowed to provide) I can't really help you much there.

Run it in the debugger and put a break point where the response is being received and step through the code. That's the only thing u can do.
